We are proud to offer knowledgeable attorneys serving as speakers for your Houston area civic, professional, or business organization. The HIPLA Speakers Bureau is composed of volunteer members who are currently practicing or have practiced in a wide variety of intellectual property law fields.

How to Request a Speaker

Only written requests will be considered (e.g., a letter, fax, or email attachment). Further, to ensure proper notice and adequate preparation time, we encourage that requests are made six to eight weeks in advance of an event. Written requests should be in the form of a letter on your organizationís letterhead and should include the following information:
  • Sponsoring Organization

  • Description of Organization making the request

  • Event Name or Title

  • Date and Time

  • Location of the Event

  • Requested Topic of Speech

  • Anticipated Audience Size
Available speakers are provided at no charge for engagements within the Greater Houston area. Travel costs for speaking engagements requiring out of town travel and/or overnight accommodations are to be borne by the requesting organization. An offer to pay travel-related expenses must be included in the letter of request.
