Each year, HIPLA strives to recognize one or more inventors for his/her/their outstanding achievements and contributions to Texas and the Gulf Coast area. Winners are celebrated at a HIPLA event, and we coordinate various concurrent publications and accolades to ensure that each inventor and their contributions are appropriately highlighted and honored.

Worthy inventors can only be recognized if our members take the time to make nominations. Your assistance is truly appreciated! 

When submitting your nominations, please emphasize the commercial success or economic importance of the invention(s) made by your nominee. 

The Outstanding Inventor of the Year Award Committee will evaluate the nominations and choose the recipients for the award. The winner(s) will be announced after the committee meets in September, and HIPLA will host a happy hour event to honor the winner(s) in October (specific date TBD based on the availability of the winner).
